A growing trend in floral design is wearable floral art often known as botanical couture. Inspired by floral artists such as Francoise Weeks, Daniel Ost, and Zita Elze, I've grown quite fond of highly detailed, textural work that I've expanded to floral fashion.
In early 2017, Debra Prinzing, the founder of Slow Flowers, commissioned me to do a design for the promotion of American Flowers Week. The project became a wonderful collaboration between Debra, her son Alexander Brooks, noted Seattle photographer Mary Grace Long and make up artist Yessie Libby.
Here was our photo shoot and some of the final photographs. The design was featured in Florist Review Magazine's June 2017 Issue.
